Unfortunately - no. Actor on the screen is very different from the actor in life. When an actor is preparing for his role in the film, he (or she) is fully reincarnated. Is the work of stylists and make-up artists. They do film stars such as we used to see them on screen.

This is a very difficult work because sometimes from one image it is necessary to create absolutely other. Also it is necessary to consider whims of Hollywood stars. But the make-up artist - it is always professional, their work is always the audience can see and appreciate.

For some movies the actors just do professional make-up, but it must take into account lighting, weather conditions (if the shooting occur in nature), even a film! And of course take into account the role. All this we can see. And we do not see how camouflage dark circles under the eyes of actors, spots on the skin, wrinkles, facial deformities (different size eyes, or lips, or eyebrows, or protruding ears). Simultaneously the stylist starts to work with the make-up artist – and we see a excellent hairstyle at the film star. And after viewing of a film we understand: here a real example for imitation!
But not always make-up artists are limited to about what it has been told earlier. At times it is necessary to change the actor so that he is very difficult for recognize. Many spectators saw «The Hours», and probably all of them will agree that Nicole Kidman is not similar almost to herself.
Also very often something is necessary make-up artists to depicture that subsequently install to spectators horror or disgust: scars, cuts, burns, blood and slime («Wasabi», «The man without a face» and many other films). It is not so pleasant, but it is absolutely necessary for creation of the image.
There is also more difficult work when it is necessary to make of the person the vampire, either the monster, or the alien. Then it is necessary to stick new ears, to have a denture made, glue claws, sometimes horns and tails, at actors humps, new hair on a body or huge muscles "grow" (in a real life such does not happen!)
Certainly, sometimes the actor should work at the appearance most, for example to change a hair color or a hairdress. And of course all of us remember, how got fat Renée Zellweger for the role, and how Demi Moore made bald haircut (!) in a film frame «G.I.JANE».
But, in any case, any actor does not leave on a set while with it the make-up artist will not work. Because without a command of make-up artists any film, as without the director or without the operator, would be impossible.
