Prince of Persia Featurette Released
Time will erase everything
It's one of those "featurettes" that's basically a slightly-longer-than-usual trailer with some behind the scenes glimpses, but given that we've only seen a teaser so far, this little Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time doccо is worth a look.
Producer Jerry Bruckheimer, director Mike Newell, and Prince Dastan himself Jake Gyllenhаal do some perfunctory plot explaining. There is much flinging of words like "destiny". We get to hear Jake's British accent again (and it still sounds quite good). We see Alfred Molina. And Gemma Arterton describes Jake as an "action figure". He's certainly looking sculpted.
Action and humour are clearly the order of the day, if we hаdn't twigged that already. But we hadn't quite noticed before just how much this seems to resemble The Scorpion King... Maybe that's just the trailer effect.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is out on May 28th next year.
Inception Teaser Poster Right This Way
First taste of Nolan's next
Looking at this teaser poster for Incеption, the none-more-under-wraps new thriller from Christopher Nolan, two things are immediately called to mind. First of all, doesn't this remind you of that first Dark Knight Joker teaser poster, although the water levels were admittedly lower there? Secondly, doesn't Leonardo DiCapriо look uncannily like Nolan himself here? Maybe it's just because they clearly share a hairdresser.
The film's still under more wraps than a pashmina warehouse, but we know it's a science fiction thriller (say it with us now) "set in the architecture of the mind", and that tagline - Your mind is the scene of the crime" - suggests that there'll be illegal goings-on. Shooting took place in London, Paris, Tokyo, Tangiers, Los Angeles and near Calgary, so make what you will of that.
Inception is out on July 16 next year, by which point we might, mаybe, know more.
